My wife and I rewatched all three Blair Witch films (and Curse) on a lark yesterday. Wild how impeccable that first one is on almost every level. Funny pivot into seeing how aging has made Book of Shadows into an only more fascinating cultural object and Blair Witch 2016 into a more anonymous one.

I absolutely adore the rhythm of a set grid. Really benefits a particular kind of illustrator too. But needs to be used in a more intentional way than just a lot of zoom-ins and zoom-outs because that's what Watchmen did. Like everything it's really shallow when run at like a default.

There was a brief window where Comixology Submit was our gateway to getting comics to people and DOING IT. And then it all went to shit and it feels like tanked the entire chance that the American market had for doing digital comics well. I'll always hold a grudge against the people that did that.

Pairing the work of Arkansas literary legends like Charles Portis, Henry Dumas, Frank Stanford, C.D. Wright and Rosa Zagnoni Marinoni with newer generations of Natural State writers, the issue functions as a sort of mosaic of Arkansas literature past and present.

Still think on the writing end that it's more important to look like you had a plan than to actually have a plan. This definitely has never caused me third act logistics issues before.
