I think reading clubs and writer circles are really important things to have, but it is pretty difficult to find good communities for that.

The Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes is so damn interesting to read. The way he ties in his epistemology (from the earlier parts of the book) to criticisms of certain aspects of the society of the time (criticisms of scholars, of the Church, etc.) is just incredible.

I took a course by Jessica Brody on drafting and shit, and honestly the tips she gives for improving your mentality around writing are some of the most helpful I've been told. It's surprising how much writing advice boils down to "your writing is shit? who cares! keep writing, let go of your pride"

This is really cool. I think edutainment games should do this more often (point to consulted sources, offer alternative learning paths, etc.) Learning how to research effectively, and not just using Google, is such an important skill and this could be the way to get people checking out literature
