Surrounded by a tribe of loved ones last night, I was honored to be inducted into @NPSD Hall of Fame aka the Knights of Honor ceremony. @NPSD is one of PA’s largest public school districts and educates ~13k students annually. I hope my story inspires students to change the world!

I’m happy to announce the 6 month results from the SECOND @UNOSNews policy surrounding the elimination of Black race to diagnose and manage kidney disease. This policy required all US transplant centers review their waitlists and modify time for qualifying Black individuals.

The majority said that scientific meetings should have disparity talks distributed throughout sessions instead of the more common separate disparity session(s). I agree!! We need to normalize the pervasiveness of disparities and stop "othering" these talks like rare diseases.

Should general scientific/clinical meetings have separate sessions for #disparities work or should disparities work be embedded in ALL sessions? I have my thoughts but what say you #MedTwitter?
