It took about 15 hours, but I've finally completed a run of Kletka. I have a lot of thoughts about this one. It's a very Russian (and, frankly, very odd game), and definitely one for the highlight reel of rogue-likes, especially given the multiplayer component. (Thread)

I had never played Donald Duck Goin' Quackers. I missed the boat on it, which is a shame because it takes the highly rhythmic, highly fun play style of Crash Bandicoot (and DK: Country), and makes it feel more arcade-y and simplified, but, very, very fun.

I bought and started playing Indiecalypse, on a whim. I am about two hours into it. Basically, it is around twenty-five mini-games, spread across a point-and-click style adventure game. The mini-games are riffs on popular indie games, the story feels like a lower brow Cyanide & Happiness.

I started Silent Hill f. I decided to buy it as a birthday present for myself. I am about five hours in and I am digging it so far. 👍

I have been re-completing the campaign for Resident Evil 6 (this is my first re-play since it was released). As I remembered, my enjoyment of it meets a death by a thousand cuts by the end. The more is more, throw everything at the wall mentality was ambitious, but it came at a major price.

I Platinum'd Amanda the Adventurer 2. Enjoyable game, as was the first. It does feel like the concept has run its course, however.

Of The Game Awards, I think the reveals I'm hyped the most for were the Tomb Raider re-imagining and the new sequel. I am a big fan of the series, and these also look like a simpler, more linear adventure more like old-school Tomb Raider, which I just feel really in the mood for.

As a horror buff, I'm always interested when they make something like Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmares, and how they can take a horror spin to something like that. Still though, I really wish that wasn't the main takeaway for these new public domain properties.

You know what will never happen, but would be cool? If a developer like Tango Gameworks ("The Evil Within") or even Capcom, was given the keys to make an Evil Dead game with a vibe similar to Resident Evil with Bruce Campbell doing the voice-acting for Ash.
