Nice to get outside for hours of gardening today! The Hibiscus is great this season, providing lots of fresh tea this winter. Summer days and fall nights have brought a second lavender bloom, and the minature roses are going strong. It's my favorite time of year 💚

Got outside to weed around my minature roses and found a tiny blossom and bud. ❤️ Gardening always gives me Hope. 🙌

It's a great Caterday when my Guard Cat waits for me ❤️ He's impatient for treats and pets! ✌️

Beautiful Michigan day to appreciate Frog visitors and pollinators. Black Eyed Susan's are puddles of sunshine all over the yard 💚 My minature roses are still giving beauty, even though they are just a thumbnail size!

FAVORITE summer snacking on these Spoon Tomatoes 🍅 because a whole dozen fit in a tablespoon! Munching while picking and weeding 😉

Bumblebees on Joe Pye. Now that an endangered Rusty Patch Bumblebee was found in northern Michigan, I don't feel like I'm wasting time searching for them! Over a dozen at a time yesterday to watch ❤️ It's a great season for pollinators around here!

Was nice to get out and have a small garden tour yesterday. Heat index of 106-110° have kept me inside too much! A very hardy garden phlox, minature roses and visitor Bumblebees. The back field has successfully grown a beautiful patch of native Bergamot (bee balm).

Harvested first few tomatoes and zucchini! Here comes the harvest! Looking forward to cooler days to bake some bread and canning ahead 😋

Grateful for a big harvest from the new beehives 🐝 Ten frames ! Stocking up ❤️ ✌️

Just to share a couple of my favorite little hens, Bluebell and her sister Dovey. Breed is Blue Cochins (although Dove may be a Silver). The flock got frozen pea Popsicles to beat the 85° heat.

Sensational Sunday Blessings 🙌 my multiflora rose has blossomed 🌸 What to make with these delightful beauties? Rose jelly is definitely on the 'to-do' list now. And they're wonderous to have around my pillow at night! Feeling grateful 💚

Oh! What's that smell? was out back, weedwhacking by the beehive, kept smelling something wonderous, heavenly even. The hedgerow has filled in with native ROSES! ❤️ 10'-12' high and as wide in a over 100' row. Covered in honeybees, Bumblebees and wasps- we're ALL happy, the honey will be DELICIOUS!

Another Groovy Tuesday and good day to stroll the garden to checkout new blooms. Pink roses, bright green Lady's Mantel, silver Lambsear and more pink Peonies! Great break from the political nightmare we face.

Chicken and duck break ❤️ My rescue from last summer, Dorothy Duck has become matriarch of the Avairy and coop while the Littles grow. As their fluff fades, adult markings are now apparent and these will be some gorgeous hens. Two months until eggs!

The Littles get spinach and assorted greens, today was parsley. 3 weeks old! They grow up so fast. 20 more hatching this week! ❤️

It's an exciting day outside! Spotted the first butterfly of the season, AND my first siting of a Mourned Cloak butterfly 🦋

Grateful for morning visitors to start the day. Distractions necessary in these disturbing times....

Grateful for Spring chicks to have fun with! At two weeks old, they're keeping me busy and I can't wait to have them garden with me this summer 😀 Next batch arrives in a week!
