I’ve just seen the Forest team and it seems that everyone is playing 4D chess. Palace, Villa and Forest all played reserve teams. West Ham did it the year they won the Conference League. Not a lot the EPL can do about it however in horse racing you can be fined for “not trying”. Maybe one to ponder.

I don’t think we can play Gyokeres up front against Athletico. He just adds nothing up front unless he’s shooting. We need the ball to stick when it is played up front. Assuming Havertz is out I’d rather see us play with Eze up front as a 9.

A proper game of football, this one, berween a team that should have wrapped up the title already and another which should have been demoted to League One a long time ago.

City closed down the passing lines from the defence/Gk to our midfielders very well which meant we had to hit it long and up front there was no-one to hold up the ball. Hopefully Declan and co can have a few days in the sun before turning up to England next week.

Glad I lost out in the ballot for this game! Saka’s form has been terrible over the last few months. I’d have bought Dowman on at some stage to at least give the crowd a lift.
