Just days after the release of The Twisted Road, Iโve completed the first draft of The Infinite Road, the Mรถbius Sequence book 0. This one turned out a bit longer. Please donโt tell
@elsewhen.press
that itโs around 120,000 words!

Stayed up to 4am last night watching the re-entry shenanigans. Very happy to see the updates today, and that all the crew are well and in fine form.

Yes, really good point this. In fact
@sffaddictspod.bsky.social
and
@joeabercrombie.com
did an excellent discussion on unlikeable characters too, well worth a listen:

After more than a decade as a book editor, I've finally nailed down the single biggest gap between solid writing and truly great writing. It all comes down to what the author DOESN'T say.

It's basically like cyberpunk with the focus on dreams and dreamlike states (hallucinations, simulations, etc.) instead of tech. Or like steampunk but with the focus on dreams instead of, er... steam. ๐ I wrote an article on this for Wattpad years ago, actually:

Dreampunk by Cliff Jones Jr.
Dreampunk fiction often makes use of surreal imagery, esoteric symbolism, dream logic (which may not be entirely logical), dream-related technology, false/subjective realities, shamanism, and Jungian psychology. It might be described as a more mystical, less technocentric version of cyberpunk.
