Madeira in the morning sun. This island is truly like a paradise. It looks like an active volcano only with a rainbow rather than lava, ashes an destruction.

Store Dyrehave, Hillerød, Denmark. On a peaceful morning like this, it is hard to imagine the noise from 300 years ago when the king and his entourage would hunt deers, galloping on horseback in the enclosed woods, the hounds barking, people shouting and horses dropping dead from exhaustion.

Autumn colours in Store Dyrehave in Hillerød, Denmark. The woods are Unesco Heritage because it was a parforce hunting ground made in the late 1600s. Basically, it is fenced off woods where the king hunted deers on horseback and with dogs taking advanged of the straight roads in star formation.

Stortorget, Stockholm, Sweden. 'The large Square'. Yes, it does get crowded. But have you seen it?? What a beauty. Besides the tall, colourful buildings, you also find the Nobel Prize Museum here. We happened to visit a few days after Trump, fortunately, did not succeed in bullying the committee.

I wonder if anyone has favourite somethings in different places...? 🤔. I definitely have favourite trees. Like my favourite tree in Copenhagen is a specific white, Japanese cherry tree. My 2 favourite trees in Hillerød are an oak tree and a magnolia. And this is my favourite building in Stockholm.

Djurgården (animal farm), Stockholm a few weeks ago. The name of the open-air museum with old buildings and Scandinavian animals did not lie. So many animals, though I prefered the ones you could interact with.

It's the autumn holidays. And it is one of the most beautiful seasons when autumn foliage turns yellow and red. Driving from Denmark to Stockholm

Visited the Janus la Cour exhibition at Nivaagaard Museum. Janus la Cour was a painter from the Danish Golden Age - approximately the 1800s. He painted landscapes and details. Mostly devoid of humans, animals, and human activity. Finding inspiration from the Aarhus Bay area and Sorrento, Italy.

Today, the sky is gray. It is raining, and it is windy. Autumn weather at its worst. Just hoping we will get more nice days before Denmark gets shut down in darkness, cold, and misery until spring. The last few days have been magnificent, though. Frederiksborg Castle, Hillerød earlier this week.

The harbour of Gilleleje, the north coast of the island of Zealand on Sunday. Clouds as magically as those of a Miyazaki cartoon. The clouds resemble the ice cream you can buy here at the harbour.

It was raining Sunday morning. My friends and I escaped into a restaurant. When we came outside, we saw that it had suddenly cleared up. Deep blue sky with beautiful cotton balls. This is from Stængehus along the northern coast of Zealand, Denmark.

The eclipse of the moon on the 7th of September at Esrum Sø, Denmark. No clouds but a lot of dust in the horizon. The moon being dark while in the shadow and hidden behind the layer of dust, it only appeared when it was well above the horizon. Still, it was fascinating!

The weather was so beautiful on Sunday at Stængehus in the northern part of Zealand, Denmark.

What a wonderful day. Sunny, no wind, and 22 degrees. A walk through The Woods of The Trolls (Tisvilde Hegn). The trees are so bent and crooked that you expect to run into Snowwhite any minute. The shape of the trees is due to them growing in sand rather than soil. They were planted to stop the

Raindrops on roses... the beauty in the morning after the weatherfront passed.

So, instead of seeing the sunset, I got to see this weatherfront moving in like a frozen waterfall. In the beginning, the sea had been reflecting the sky, but as the clouds began blocking out more of the light, the sea became transparent. And then the clouds started moving like gushes of water.

I went to Tisvildeleje beach yesterday evening, hoping to see the sun setting in a calm sea as it had been a calm day with hardly any wind. Unfortunately, a weatherfront - a narrow strip of potent clouds with rain and thunder - blocked out the sun just an hour before it set in the sea.

There is something special about the light in Paris. It is absolutely radiant in a dim sort of way. It adds to the beauty of Paris. The light seems to shine even on surfaces that are in the shadows. I recognise this light as the same as in Skagen in Denmark though I visited Paris long before Skagen.

What a wonderful Sunday. A quiet, warm day at Gribsø, Denmark.

The Vasque, as seen from Musée d'Orsay. An enormous silver orb that seems to be the size of Sacre Coeur. It is somehow quite poetic, right!? Unearthly and out of place, as if it was the moon itself that had fallen from the sky.

The colours of the rainbow. So how many colours are there and in which order? Of course, in reality, there is an indefinite number of colours, but I guess most people would categorize them as 6 to 8 colours/bands. Double and reverse order if it is a double rainbow. But take a look at the inner band.

The last week in the evenings, here in Hillerød, Denmark, when the sun is low in the sky, there has been the most beautiful rainbow in the eastern sky outside my kitchen window. Maybe I should make it plural because conditions have been so perfect that the outer mirrored rainbow has been there, too.
