The largest squad I've ever seen CSA announce, men or women. A total of 26 players will attend the CSA's women's training camp, starting tomorrow at the HPC in Pretoria. The camp will run until Monday, and will include four intra-squad T20 matches.

CSA have organised a women's youth tri-series between two SA teams and Zimbabwe U19. Matches are set to be played 09-18 January. The youth squad looks like a mixture of players who missed out on under-19 selection and promising under-21 players.

With nine 300+ totals in the last three years, a 350 total was bound to happen at some point for the Proteas. Great to see them go well past that and score 375.

I find the Sky Sports Halo experiment somewhat interesting. For a big corporate, with decades of experience in media, its a massive fuckup. I get the idea behind it: the demographics of sport viewers is slowly shifting away from "35+ males". Sky Sports thought they could accelerate this shift.

Just over a month ago, it was announced that Chloé Tryon would be replaced in the WBBL, due to national commitments. A bit weird that she's the only Proteas player replaced.

Pre-tournament I thought SA could easily miss the semi-finals by net-run-rate (at this point I was not expecting rain to join as a 9th team), so ending as runner-up is a good result.

A proper fielding effort by the Proteas has probably saved 40+ runs. Won't be easy, but they've given themselves a good chance at this.

Over in Potch, the Dragons are up against WP. WP have made 307/8 in their innings, the highest total in SA Women's List A since going professional. Following up from her 110* last weekend, Faye Tunnicliffe scored 138(116). Three wickets for Thuto Thibedi.

Innings break in the Pro50 match between the Lions and the Badgers. Lions posted 171 all out, with their only performance being Sunette Viljoen-Louw's 74(100). Two wickets each for Zintle Kula, Nicolien JvR and Kiara Fisher.

Quite enjoyed the commentary of Sharne Mayers during tonight's game between Boland and the Dragons. Hoping SuperSport will also get her for the Ireland tour in a few weeks.

Down at Newlands Western Province are playing against the Titans. WP have made 256/7 in their 50 overs. Lara Goodall top scored with 105(145), with Dané van Niekerk getting 74(65). Paulinah Mashishi and Luyanda Nzuza took two wickets each, with Angel Mngwenya taking a wicket on her Titans debut.
