Dracula: Dead and Loving It (Mel Brooks, 1995; Sony/Columbia/Castle Rock) - 6/10 Not too bad for Mel Brooks' last directorial feature but it's worth watching for blood covering all over Steven Weber

High Anxiety (Mel Brooks, 1977; Fox) - 8/10 This spoof of Hitchcock's suspenseful classics by Mel Brooks is very fun! The High Anxiety song that Mel Brooks performed on stage is very fun and catchy, why didn't his song get an Oscar Best Original Song nomination?!

Gone Girl (David Fincher, 2014; Fox/Regency) - 9/10 Awesome psychological thriller with fantastic performances by Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, the very compelling psychological story and the frenetic direction by David Fincher.

Pet Sematary (Mary Lambert, 1989; Paramount) - 7/10 It's creepy but it's a good movie adaptation of Stephen King's novel

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Tim Burton, 2007; DreamWorks/WB) - 10/10 Tim Burton's horror musical movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Broadway musical goes insanely hard

Poltergeist (Gil Kenan, 2015; Fox/MGM/Ghost House) - 2/10 I am so tired. Finished with the Poltergeist franchise

Poltergeist III (Gary Sherman, 1988; MGM) - 4/10 You know what? Could have been worse.

Him (Justin Tipping, 2025; Universal) - 4/10 I really wanted to like this movie. I love the the way the premise combined horror with sports, it has a huge potential, but it left me very underwhelmed as this sports horror movie has wasted a lot of very great ideas and missed the field goal.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (Danny Cannon, 1998; Sony/Columbia/Mandalay) - 4/10 Bad, but it's crazy that the tanning bed scene is where Final Destination 3 was inspired by this scene. And holy shit, Jack Black!!! He makes this sequel very entertaining for me!

House of Usher (Roger Corman, 1960; American International Pictures) - 9/10 Omg, he finally did it! The King of B movies, Roger Corman, made his banger with his first of his Edgar Allan Poe movie adaptations!

Rosemary's Baby (Roman Polanski, 1968; Paramount) - 10/10 It's not hard to see why this was one of the most influential horror flicks

Addams Family Reunion (Dave Payne, 1998; Warner Home Video/Saban) - 3/10 Feature-length TV pilot to Saban's then-New Addams Family. Extra point is for Tim Curry only

Coraline (Henry Selick, 2009; Focus Features/Laika) - 10/10 (via Tubi rewatch) (bumped up from an 8/10) This scared the fuck out of me as a kid, but as I've grown, this is Laika's masterpiece. (First watched in June 2009 in the airplane)

Yeah I think the minor problem I have with the Mario movie was the pop culture songs feels a little bit unfitting, like e.g. "Holding Out For a Hero" on the Mario training montage. I get pop culture songs was your thing Illumination, but c'mon, Brian Tyler worked SO hard on his majestic epic score.
