I was in Iran’s position once. My one-loss 7th/8th grade soccer team went into the last day of the season with the two teams ahead of us playing each other, just needing one of them to win. It ended in a 0-0 tie, of course, keeping us out of the championship game. Iran’s stakes aren’t quite as high.

Today I did a whole puzzle from start to finish without doing a single other thing in between. I just stood there and did the whole damn thing. High Jinks on the High Seas! by Springbok.
