Ikoku Nikki hasn't failed to make me tear up every week. This week's episode hit me hard again watching family members grow distant and but seeing Makio and Kasamachi include Asa was so lovely to see.

Not a coincidence that many of the production materials for these impressive character cuts being shared by the studio are drawn on paper. Obviously it's not a technlogy thing (they have great digital artists as well), it's more about the profile of artist that Ikoku Nikki has been lucky to secure

I'm still enjoying In the Clear Moonlit Dusk quite a bit for it's simplicity. The plot feels familiar but I am enjoying Yoi slowly accept new feelings and expressing herself a bit softer because she starting to feel safe around Kohaku.

Wait, Yoi's sister is SO COOL! Maybe a little too cool with the baby bangs, hime cut, and blue hair combo. Give me a spin-off about this baddie!

Also got an advance digital copy of the Shugo Chara! 20th Anniversary Edition and it is a whopping 404 pages long! The first volume will go on sale on March 3rd and will retail for $22.99. There will be 6 volumes in total for this edition.

I hate how you can hear the border patrol helicopters when I record voice overs for videos. They patrol the area multiple times a day and even at night. 😭 I miss when I wouldn't had to hear helicopters daily but this is the Tr*mp special when you live in a border city. 😕

I think English publishers really missed the ball with Ikoku Nikki. They should have licensed the series and had volume 1 out in English by the time the anime began airing. With the series already completed, this would have been the perfect candidate for 2-in-1 volumes.

It’s great to see TikTok not working at all the last two days. From broken activity, to videos getting 0 views. Glad to see the new American owners working hard. 🫩

It was so lovely seeing Makio with the same group of friends from high school. They're all kind of girl failures but who isn't if we're being honest? We're just trying our best, tripping over dumb mistakes, but still trying to move through life one step at a time.
