Aside from having should have gotten my adhd looked at years ago, I should have picked a better time of year to try meds than when i have notorious seasonal depression. The highs and lows are real. That being said weening off caffeine, sleeping better and getting my brain fixed is gonna pay off.

I never actually followed up on this. :P The biggest hurdle of writing these guys is making the vrail sufficiently Alien. My main thought when building them is that the vrail do not have the sheer breadth of adaptations we do, which is why we can compete with their frontloaded physical advantages.
