A project I did last year where the customer sent me pre-textured sheets of copper. I was tasked with making the pancake die to cut the shapes , and I also set up a hand punch to make holes in each Saguaro.

Brass sheet. Fabricated (pieces cut and soldered together, duh) by moi in 1978. Inspired by the same figure in an M.C. Escher print. It IS '3 Octahedra' (the figure, not the print).

Here I'm sawing thin silver sheet that's had a design roll-pressed into it. The impression acts as a guide for the sawblade to some extent.

2 sizes shown. The small one ( chemically-etched steel plate) has the design at 5/16" across. The partially sawed-out sample is .021" thick copper which was rolled against a plate in a rolling mill.
