We were walking by a row of shops at Jonker Street, I saw this and commented to the youngest Perth crew, "Hey that's Bruce Lee!". Without missing a beat, he replied, deadpan, "No, that's his brother, Brocco Lee."

Cycling in Melaka Botanical Garden. Forgot that rental bicycles do not have gears, so had to stand up + pedal hard for the uphills! 😫😮💨

Building designed by Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, China, it's the first 360° rotating auditorium in Southeast Asia. The production, sets and music were impressive. Started with Admiral Cheng Ho and the rise of Baba/Nyonya...

We brought our fav snack, Mamee, on our road trip and didn't realise that Melaka is Mamee city. Mamee is EVERYWHERE... Mamee sponsors petrol stations, grocery shops, wet markets, public parks, EVERYWHERE! We can see the big blue monster overrun the city.

Tried the Skyline Luge, it's fun, but driving all the way to Rawang to race down a hill - not recommended. Plus experienced soured by slow drivers where we had to brake for. Sheesh. The only thing scary (for me) was the chair lift going up to the top of the hill. (1 of 2)

We explored Tin Dredge No.5 or TT5, the last tin dredge in Malaysia. It's a medium sized one, but it's still huge. Learnt the history and facts about tin mining and how this industry became obsolete.

Gua Tempurung is one of the largest & longest limestone caves in Peninsular Malaysia, known for its massive domes, intricate rock formations, and underground river. We just hiked in the dry area (Sections 1&2) - if you wanna get wet, it's sections 3&4.

Caving in Kandu Cave, Gopeng. This limestone cave was once used as a Japanese headquarters during the 2nd World War where they had their meetings and beheadings. Also used by the communist party of Malaya for their hideouts. There’s many twists and turns some places very cramped, (1 of 2)

Learning about the life of a Malaysian elephant at the Kuala Gandah 🐘 sanctuary and its conservation. These trained elephants also help with the relocation of wild elepants. Had so much fun exfoliating & bathing Gandah - the only baby elephant born in captivity here.

The pedicurist saw my feet, looked at her measly nail clipper, tossed it aside and took out SURGICAL TOOLS! My feet are quite frightening to look at, but these feet specialists did a great job - the scaly, cracked, hardened soles are now 'smooth like a baby's bottom'.

shows you how the international war crimes court came to be with Hermann Göring (Hitler's 2nd in command) and psychiatrist, Douglas Kelley battle in an intense psychological showdown. Incredible performances with a powerful message.

Every city we went to in China had a Mixue outlet and this made the youngest very happy to get his constant fix throughout the trip. When we came back to Malaysia, lo and behold a new Mixue outlet appeared in our area SS3. This ensures constant supply

If you see me running with damp running shorts, it's that I've crapped while running, went home, hand-wash, rinse, then proceeded again on the run. I'm glad the shorts has Spandex material so it contains the contaminant in one area for easier cleaning.

Some nice food at Ming Kee (Imbi), the porridge is excellent! Lala, wanton & jellyfish is nice (should order the non-spicy jellyfish), but not a fan of the duck noodles. Also a branch located in SS2.

The Great Wall is the largest man-made structure in the world. Construction began in the 7th Century BC onto the 17th Century AD primarily to defend against invasion. Took a chair-lift up, walked 4 steep station distance and a toboggan ride down.

The Forbidden City formidable and vastly huge. Constructed in 1406, it is the largest ancient palatial structure in the world where 24 Emperors Ruled for 500+ Years. Exactly 9,999 rooms, not a single structure was built with a nail. Those rulers knew how to showcase, "over-the-top"!

For the Chinese name seal, we first had to choose our unique stone. We then practised writing a few times before starting to carve our seals. The Chinese character writing style dated to 221AD period in a hutong in Beijing. This is like the old version of the presidential autopen!
