i am such a sucker for a jlo romcom. i have seen almost all of them. including that weird, really bad one where she started dating a cheesemonger after she was inseminated with twins.

i waited until "margot's got money troubles" was fully released before binging. i'm on episode 2. michelle pfieffer has always been Her. and elle fanning is the level of adult actress that dakota was as a child and that'saying something. that talent in that family should probably be studied.

it's wild how much some late-night shows permeate culture for me. i don't watch them in real-time ever. but i still remember the song that functioned for david letterman's last night the way that the beatles "hello, goodbye" functioned for colbert last night. it was the foo fighter's "everlong."

i loved this, start to finish. i listened to the audiobook; it was lovely. i came to this narrative with prior empathy for yolande and this book deepened that.

i loved the first act. 2nd and 3rd were more of a challenge. but overall, thought it was beautifully performed. beautifully shot. interesting, original, eccentric, tragic.

day before payday. step outside to head to work. slightly under half a tank of gas. median prices are $4.19, up 43 cent from this time last week. (they'd curiously dipped to $3.76, after a week or so at $3.99.) but it's okay! we'll make it... wait.

incidentally, he's doing a 20th anniversary tour for his album "andrew bird & the mysterious production of eggs." here, he'll be performing it with the greensboro symphony. which sounds like a dream pairing. this is what i was hoping bilal would do this year with "first born second."

based on early reviews, iām quietly wondering if chloe mightāve been the Bailey sister that shouldāve been cast in that romcom⦠sheās older and she reads older. plus her performances have a bit more nuance⦠i do love that theyāre both committed to acting, though.

Alice Augusta Ball found the cure for leprosy at 23. She died in a mysterious lab accident at 24. Arthur Dean stole her research, stole it and renamed it from "The Ball Method" to "The Dean Method." It took 90 years before her original research papers were found and she got the credit due to her.
