What are you creating lately as an act of protest/joy/hope in this shit storm of a presidency? I’d really love to see pics/videos!

Here’s my, “I’m sorry today sucks,” hug in a batch of photos. Don’t forget that there is still good in the world.

I’ve wanted to create a little narwhal habitat for a while now but never found a fabric I really adored. Then I stumbled upon this one while I was in the UK and knew I had to make this 2.75” hoop!

Gosh, am I days behind in
#januARTy
😅. My apologies! Here is my belated Day 10: blue! I’m created seascapes featuring whales this month (as I often do in January). This one is
#fabriccollage
with beading, sequins, and metallic thread!

It’s fitting to share this for
#januARTy
as it’s going to be on display in the Projects & Process Exhibition at University of Oregon in the Adell McMillan Gallery starting Monday! This piece took over 400 hrs, and is made up of 40+ fabrics, RAM chips, floss, beads & sequins. Inspired by Chicago.

I heard it’s

😅 Here’s a 9x9” Kinusaiga piece that I designed and created using some of my favorite batiks and heirloom floral fabrics from my grandmother 🥹

It’s been so fun to create for me again! It’s easy to kind of lose your way when you’re a full time artist—this has helped remind me why I love fabric arts so much! Big shout out to
@nrb72.bsky.social
again for sharing her knowledge with me!

Having fun exploring Kinusaiga! Thanks to
@nrb72.bsky.social
for teaching me! Check out Maeno Takashi’s work to learn more about the original artform of silk wrapped wood! Here I used cotton and wrapped foam!
