Welp, internet here has been down for 6hrs now. Yet to hear back from the ISP, so doubtless it’s going to be a while until it’s back. Won’t be any David or Mega streams until it’s back but hopefully it gets sorted today. Keep an eye here and on Megas account for if things are fixed!

In the three weeks since we welcomed Lou into the world I’ve gotten a lot of new perspectives. I really LOVE streaming, but I understand that (at least for now) I probably won’t really be able to stream like I used to. I will still try to stream frequently but I can’t do 8hr streams anymore ->

To this day I still think this is my favourite photo of myself (at least solo; my real favourite photo is of Mega and I at our wedding). This was at TwitchCon Europe this year and it was such a blast.

Rat-Dad returns to Twitch! In 3hrs time (3pm AEDT), I'll be live for the first time in a few weeks. Wanted to be back sooner but Mega and our son took priority (of course). Nothing extravagant for my return, just some chill gaming to get back into the swing of things with the Species Unknown!

I remember when humble bundle used to be the “good guys” in so many ways. It pains me to see how far they’ve fallen over the years as corporate enshittification (and now AI dickriding) has taken over.

New food pic for the day… but this time it’s a WIP pic! Sweet and Smokey BBQ Plum pork roast with veges. Just gotta let the rub and marinade sit on it for a while before I’m able to cook it but it already smells great. Going to have additional veges and mashed potatoes or a potato salad with it!

Sorry for the radio silence everyone. Mega and the little one are both home and going well. It’s been busy and a trying time, but rewarding. I really miss streaming and hanging out with people and hope to get back to it soon! Once everything settles down expect Ratboi to return to your screens!

I’ve been really sappy all day (understandable considering what’s been happening). But Mega and I really appreciate all the love and support you’ve all shown. Not just today, with the birth of little Lou; but for all the support people have shown the two of us over the years. Thanks… truly, David.

I’m so tempted to move away from windows to Bazzite once I get my streaming PC up and running. Since I don’t have Game Pass anymore (due to price inflation) and stream will be handled by a second PC still running windows, the reasons to stay are very slim.
