Recently I’ve been wanting to get back into physical art mediums again. It has been years since I last seriously picked up a pencil or charcoal and it feels good for the soul to get back into it. Today’s sketch: Nelumbo Nucifera (Pink Lotus/Indian Lotus) done with graphite.

Back home from FurDU 2026. Whilst I only spent about 30mins in the con hotel the entire weekend, it was such a blast spending so much time with so many awesome people. From good food, to arcade games, to drinks in hotel apartments, and even a cheeky game of Battletech. It was such a great time~

I was playing with little Lou at 1am, trying to tire him out so he’d sleep. I opened the new abacus we got from IKEA and just start doing maths on it, much to the wonder of Lou. He doesn’t even understand what maths is; he just liked the colourful beads and noises. Man I love abacuses.

I hate that Røde makes such good products. Been looking at replacing my audio interface with something a bit nicer (with dual USB out for my Dual PC setup) and the RØDECaster Duo is just straight up the best I could ever want. $630 ON SALE… ooof. I’m not big pants streamer enough to justify that.

This gamejam has been kicking my ass, but I’ve learned so much. - Learned how to use git/github - Got way better at sprite/pixel art - Learned how to get funky with photos in Krita. These are just the highlights too. Can’t wait to see everyone’s submissions for the Vtuber Tiny Game Jam! :D

picoCAD was a fun but very limited modelling program. It seems like the second one is shaping up like a massive improvement in scope and feature set. Very keen to try it out and do silly things with it.
