Today I sent a few emails to parents saying how well their child was getting on this term. It was great to send positive messages and I got some replies from the parents who really appreciated the email. I must do more of this.

One of the first things that got me started on Twitter was #math180. Sharing something from your classroom every day. It was a great way to interact with other maths teachers and learn from each other. In recent years, sharing has become less common and often met with harsh criticism.
