So I’ve been having this ongoing debate with a close longtime friend who keeps sending me Star Wars AI fan films that range from meh to absolute dogsh*t. He gobbles up this AI slop like free pancakes at IHOP and feels they’re way better than Disney Star Wars. This tells me a few things-

People who use Chat GPT to write YouTube scripts…WHY?!?! I’ve watched a few channels that have the same writing cadence using the same phrases like -Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. -It wasn’t (insert description), it was vibes. -In conclusion… 🙄 Now, more than ever, is the time to be unique.

Watching that Paris Agency family real estate show on Netflix & that has to be the most loving yet demanding family on TV. Every season it seems like a family member is moving away to a new country to “expand the business.” Eventually, someone is bound to move to the moon to sell property.

Man, I so would not want to live in the INVINCIBLE universe. The daily catastrophic events there make the Marvel & DC universes look like Sesame Street.

I hate all these companies. We create content, they exploit it, and then act as gatekeepers to the very audience we've built. It's such bullshit.

I don’t understand the concept of “hate watching”. Anyone doing that is still WATCHING the show/movie they claim to hate. These people must not value their own time.

Just learned that there is an official term for online etiquette people who like policing everyone- “Bluesky Scolds”. 😂 From what I’ve observed on here, that seems accurate to me.

I’m chronically offline on here for days, sometimes even weeks. Every time I return there’s always some new “online etiquette” that people lose their minds over if it’s not followed. Also just learned about the terms “motion”, “bimbofication” & “looksmaxxing”. Humanity, are you ok???

Honestly, all Star Trek really needs is longer seasons with a great cast people can relate with. Show stories of the characters during their downtime in between epic missions. That’s what made TNG, DS9 and Voyager great. Audiences got to live with those crews every week & we loved it!

My in-laws gave us a Roomba that they didn’t want. Used it today for the first time and the little bot actually did a pretty good job. This is the good kind of AI. 🤖

Watched the Star Trek TNG 2-part episode “Gambit” where Picard & Riker go missing and Data has to take command of the Enterprise. Of course (because this is sci-fi) Data the android handles the situation like a BOSS. Can’t imagine Chat GPT taking command of anything except adding “—“ to orders.😂

Watched Star Trek II Wrath of Khan tonight for the first time in many years. The film holds up well. Also, Spock putting on those gloves and entering the radioactive engineering section to fix the warp drive with super high stakes is the most badass thing any character has ever done in Star Trek.

These days it feels like anywhere one goes it costs $50 minimum.

I’m old enough to remember when commercial artists using traditional tools shamed anyone who used digital art tools. A similar thing is happening with current established artists shaming those who use AI. I’m not a fan of AI, but trying to police other people’s curiosity didn’t work in the past.🤷🏽‍♂️

Something that was reinforced for me this weekend- really angry people greatly struggle receiving genuinely kind words. It’s like the anger muffles them and all they can feel is their rage. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Y’know, hate watching Starfleet Academy and making detailed video reviews about it still counts as watching the show. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I hope YouTubers who’ve been making that their entire personality understand that.😂 (Also, my ALT Text game is 🔥!)

I would LOVE a Blu-Ray release of K-Pop Demon Hunters with at least 6 hours of extras of the cast being delightful and the artists just sketching ideas.

That Captain Sisko episode of Starfleet Academy really hit me hard. I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed Avery Brooks and Cirroc Lofton’s dynamic, which is what made Deep Space Nine magical in the best of ways.
