Today felt nice to get back to doing a lot of my normal things. 90 mins of reading, 30 mins meditation, pawed 3x, BBQ’d dinner, and now grocery shopping. + 2 puppy walks, 2 crate training sessions, working through leave it and anxiety over big dogs. Tomorrow begins structured exercise again!

Been just over a month since I left my job and it’s honestly been great. Many, many personal health and fitness improvements. Lots of time hiking and enjoying nature! Read 14 books. Much volunteer work! Started clearing out a few of the acres on my land for dog things. New puppy on the way!

Owning a Tesla is weird. Planning to take a hacksaw to the rear motor in order to reroute coolant flow and bypass an internal coolant passage. Apparently this is just normal, preventative procedure if you don’t want your motor to grenade.

Puppy backpacks are pretty sweet! Did ~7miles and 1250’ elevation with pubby today.

I love that we get good health related stats from our wrist these days. Crazy HRV increase after starting meditation in November and definite resting heart rate decrease from starting back at the gym in mid December. I need to get me some better VO2 Max stats here soon too.

I finally did it, I put in my two weeks at work. I’m super excited to have some personal time to focus on the things most important to me, to work on myself and start my next chapter in life. Where I go from here? I have a few solid ideas but mostly just venturing off into the unknown for a bit.

Started going to the gym again for the first time in like a decade. Does nobody shower at the gym anymore?? In the 6 times I’ve been I’ve never seen a single other person use a shower. Is this a post-covid thing?

Kinda wild to think I’ve seen and been around more dogs in the past two weeks than I’ve met in my entire life prior. Many, many thousands of doggos. It’s so fascinating to see how they live with little human interaction. Tons of pack dynamics and instincts in action to learn from!
