Today, I remember and grieve my friend Deora, who lost her life on United 93. As I offer my thoughts and prayers to those touched by recent violence, I also offer my ongoing commitment to do all in my power to bring peace to our communities.

Political violence is a vicious circle that destroys us all, and has no place in our country. Hearing the news of Charlie Kirk’s passing is heartbreaking. Sending prayer for the Kirk family and for our country as we grieve under yet another devastating act of violence.

Flipping this district takes a village. That’s why I’m so grateful for everyone who jumped on board to support me in flipping it. This group has already done so much for every day Iowans and I’m honored they joined me in continuing that work across the district.
