STATISTICS Our most popular Penguin is Colin Farrell's portrayal of Oz taking over half the fiction entries for the week. The art favourite was 'all media' which covers all unspecified interpretations. I'm very pleased to see representation of many versions, including a couple for audio adventures!

We hope to get entries each day and will share links when necessary. We'll also accept late entries.

A reminder that #penguinweek is here as well as tumblr so you may use either or both sites to share your submissions. Nothing will be reposted onto the other social media but it will get reblogged where its posted. Works added to the AO3 collection will have links shared if not already done so.

Remember that no-one has to contribute every day. Maybe you'd have liked to do them all but life got in the way. Whether you're sharing 7 complete works or a solitary wip we're happy to have you here. Even if its only a vague plot, a sketchy outline, or a theme for your edit, you can still share it.

This is the first year of #penguinweek, so I have no metric to measure it by, but I'm optimistic of a good turnout and honestly getting any entries will be a win. I hope everyone finds something to make them smile, move them to tears or generally hit them emotionally. Possibly even meet new friends.

A reminder that #penguinweek is just for fun so don't feel pressured by any of it. There's been encouragement to step outside of comfort zones but if you have one thing you'd rather stick to then you're welcome to do so. Let everyone else see how much you love your vision and they'll love it too 💜

ONE WEEK LEFT! The time is almost upon us. It's 7 days until the first prompt and 13 until the last. We've had fun imagining all the great works we're going to see for #penguinweek but now we have to prepare to deliver. Whichever prompt or prompts you're aiming for, we're counting the days now folks

There's been a lot of different Penguins shared on here so far but by no means all the possibilities. Not least because I know a lot of fans have their own designs and original concepts. We'd be happy to see and share these unique looks at the character. #penguinweek is a time to celebrate them all.

We didn't forget Bruce Timm's latest series: Batman Caped Crusader. Our female Penguin won hearts and Oswalda will be a wonderful addition to #penguinweek. Her relationship with her boys, how she got to power in Gotham, or what may be next for her are all interesting ideas but let's see what you do.

Why stick to only one Penguin for #penguinweek? You have seven days to try other versions, maybe ones you're less familiar with. That could mean watching a show you haven't seen yet or reading a new comic. You could even use several variants in the same prompt. Hopefully we'll see lots of variety.

LEGO games have become a staple and the Batman versions have garnered sequels such as Super-Villains that allow in-game selfies. This could let you explore the prompts in character, as Penguin, with photography or build your own take on it for #penguinweek with whatever bricks and playsets you have.

We've given you seven prompts to use however you wish. Sometimes the finished project may stray from the initial idea and that's okay. We want you to be inspired and follow that thread. Or you may find a way of linking all the prompts into a continuous piece for #penguinweek. It's your ball now.

To fans who read the early comics, the 1960s TV show would have felt perfectly natural. Modern audiences may take a different view but it is bright and fun regardless. Plus it gave Penguin a submarine and several "going straight" arcs. Why not try a homage to this iconic version for #penguinweek?

PROMPT IDEAS Day 7: Blackgate Blackgate Penitentiary is a familiar place of residence for the Penguin. Unlike Arkham, it doesn't house the insane but its no less dangerous for that. Penguin has typically run operations from this base but maybe you'd choose to focus on his struggles for #penguinweek
