@beamstudyabroad.bsky.social Warthog fun facts! Did you know that families of warthogs are called sounders, they are only made up of females. The name wart came from the bumps seen on their faces, not really warts but just bumps of cartilage. They can also run up to 48 km per hour, fast for 300lbs

@beamstudyabroad.bsky.social We got lucky enough to see a clan of hyenas get their kill. Hunts are rare to see so this was amazing and it truly shows the extent of predator prey relationships. You can also see that the dominant females will eat till they are full, then share. So amazingly gross.

@beamstudyabroad.bsky.social I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on a Rhino Observation Walk at Ol Pejeta! We went out with a few of the Rangers at the conservatory and we learned how to identify the Rhinos. On each rhinos ear we would see sets of notches or a small holes. (1/2)
