There are some cats who make their rounds through our neighborhood & sometimes catch some shade or sun on our back patio. A groundhog also swings by on occasion to nibble some greens. Today those events overlapped. I thought for sure the cats would spook it but. . . Woodchuck don't give a f*ck!

Shouldn't be surprising how enjoyable Daemons of the Shadow Realm has been but it's really a blast. Bill Butts & Colleen Clinkenbeard as Right and Left make quite a pair. Great performances out of the whole cast.

Cute & lighthearted, An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess, does feel a bit novel in the Villainess sub genre of the otome game anime where the Princely love interest turns out to be more than capable of manipulating the events he's being steered towards.

Ahead of the 2nd season of Skeleton Knight in Another World, I started rewatching that 1st season. Though this time I wasn't blindsided by its opening scene of a girl getting assaulted, even more abrupt than Goblin Slayer. It feels all the more dissonant here with how silly Arc's adventures can get.

Like many anime classics I encountered in the mid 90's I was probably a little too young to be watching Ninja Scroll. I'm not sure it'll feel as risky & exciting or transgressive as it did while my middle school friends & I sat watching a copied VHS during a sleep over but it looks a lot better!

Turn A Gundam Gundam Reconguista in G Both directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. Tomino could have kept designs similar to OG Gundam, he helmed it after all. In both cases, especially Turn A the designs are striking in their difference thanks to Syd Mead but Kenichi Yoshida's work in G Reco is beautiful

Settled in for my first crack at Marathon Season 2. No sightings of Bingus this time around but I've got my own anyway.

Sad news, the number of Star Wars OGs inevitably dwindling. A New Hope wouldn't have been what it is without her & what it is, is an amazing film with a huge cultural impact that created a community which though not without its hives of scum & villainy, I think has been a net positive in many lives.

Mild #Spoilers I was surprised how much 'I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class' is about the fallout of divorce & its impact on Maki's relationships than the possible love triangle between Umi & Yuu. Curious to see if it remains a driving force behind Maki's emotional journey.
