Thanks to Shitheel Trump and his army of shitlings, it’s now twice as expensive to send posters and books by USPS than by UPS. Thanks to the venture capital firm that bought UPS, they’re in a downsizing spree, meaning they closed the two closest stores to me.

Ruined tentacle, thanks to silicone cure failure due to “latex-free” rubber bands that were not, in fact, latex free. The gaps and holes are where the silicone didn’t cure and remained liquid. Silicone touching the edge of the mold was enough to cause creeping failure.

Latex is an inhibitor of silicone curing. I sometimes use rubber bands to hold molds together, so I ordered some certified latex-free rubber bands from Amazon and I bet you can tell where this is going. NBD, just ruined one cast, but what if I’d ordered them because of allergies?

The green/brown iridescent effect on the nipplesucker tentacles. I’d love to use this pigment in more sex toys, but it’s not body-safe so it can only be used for things that don’t go into a body. (The camera doesn’t really catch the bright sheen of the green.)

Progress on the Giger-inspired nipplesuckers for the alien tentacle violation pod! I’m experimenting with a new silicone colorant on the silicone covering the hoses. The tentacles are dark brown but with a shimmering iridescent green when the light hits them right.

The problem: Making the tubes for the goat milking machine look more like Cthulhu-esque appendages. The solution: Cast silicone around the tubes. I’m sure there’s a better way to do this, but I printed molds with pegs the tubes could be stretched taut in.

Thanks to some incredibly helpful advice from a bunch of folks online, I’ve made excellent progress quieting the pump for the Giger nipplesuckers in the tentacle violation pod. Still not as quiet as I’d like, but making progress!

The good news: After a great deal of searching, I found some awesome perfectly transparent silicone ideal for making slime drips on the alien tentacle violation pod. The bad news: it has to be ordered from China. 30-day delivery. The worse news: Minimum order is 550 kilograms.

First test of the Giger-inspired nipplesuckers went swimmingly, save for one concern: they’re attached to a goat milker from Amazon, and the air pump is LOUD. The alien tentacle violation pod has a speaker to pipe in the sound of a heartbeat, so I’d like to make the pump quieter.

I taught my wife 3D printing and silicone casting and now I think she’s caught the bug. She keeps coming up with new ideas for things to make, and she’s also running into the limitations of FDM printing (like no open, unsupported void spaces inside a print).

So me trying to build a desktop scanning tunneling electron microscope is a dumb idea, right? I have too many other projects in the pipeline, right? Besides, I have no use for an electron microscope anyway, right?

I’ve spent the last three days, and nine rolls of plaster bandage tape, covering the front of a medical body scanning pod with plaster. When it sets I’ll pry it off and cover it with silicone to make an alien xenomorph egg a person can sit in whilst being violated by tentacles.

Working on the giant ovomorph, a person-sized alien egg to ravish an Innocent Victim™ inside it with long silicone tentacles (dripping slime, of course, for the full experience). Experimented with dribbling silicone to create veins over the window…not perfect, but interesting!

The jury pool has been excused for lunch! They make us wear these big neon “JUROR” tags even if we go to a restaurant because apparently some years back the prosecutors in a major case went to lunch and discussed the trial w/o noticing one of the jurors sitting next to them.
