POETRY IS EVERYTHING TO ME. So you all can imagine my joy today. Started a short residency with a Brooklyn public school teaching poetry to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. By the end of the session all the children had begun their first poems. This is FUN, JOY.

THERAPY. Just had my first therapy session of 2026. I’ve been going to therapy for many years. Clear to me healing work is a life-long journey. Critical to have right kind of therapist, not just to vent, but to get necessary tools to do the self-healing work.

I can say this because I experienced it in multiple ways: 2025 was truly horrible. But I have my faith, my incredible wife, our immediate families, amazing friends and allies, my health. I am wishing countless blessings, peace, and joy to all of you, and for my wife and I too.

JOY in world means something completely different to me now. Not just one day, but every day doing or finding something that brings me joy, being intentional with providing joy to others too. Not going to let these times get me down. No way. Wishing everyone some joy, whatever that means for you.
