loading . . . Awesome X-MEN â97 Season 2 Trailer Introduces Polaris and Teases Apocalypseâs Rise Marvel Studios has unleashed a brand-new trailer for X-Men '97 Season 2, and while it doesn't spoil too much, it offers plenty of exciting moments that hint at the next chapter of the animated series. Between Apocalypse stepping into the spotlight, a quick showcase for Polaris, and a handful of revealing episode titles, fans have a lot to dig into before the new season arrives. The trailer opens with Apocalypse making his intentions crystal clear as he declares he's about to "usher in a new era forged in iron and blood." If there was any doubt about who will be driving the conflict this season, that line should erase it pretty quickly. Another mysterious voice warns, "The ones you care for will be your undoing," leading to a powerful response from Professor Xavier, who says, "They are how we survive." The footage also gives Polaris a brief action moment, showing Magneto's biological daughter throwing down in a fun fight scene. Comic readers know Polaris has long been one of Marvel's most powerful mutants, but outside of animation, many fans will probably remember her from the short-lived live-action Hulu and Marvel series, The Gifted . It'll be great to see her getting some well-deserved attention here. As exciting as the trailer itself is, one of the biggest details might actually be Marvel's release of the complete list of Season 2 episode titles. A few of them seem to offer some intriguing hints about what's coming. The countdown to mutant mayhem begins. Episode 6, "Danger," appears to point toward the arrival of Danger, the sentient physical manifestation of the X-Men's legendary Danger Room training simulator. Then there's Episode 8, "The Dead Man's Hand," which could end up being one of the season's biggest stories. After the Season 1 finale's post-credit scene showed Apocalypse recovering one of Gambit's playing cards, fans immediately began speculating that the fan-favorite mutant could return as one of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen, just as he did in the comics. The episode title certainly adds more fuel to that theory, although we'll have to wait and see if that's actually where the story goes. The story "continues with the heroic mutant team of X-Men, divided and thrown across different eras in time as they struggle to navigate their return home. Meanwhile, back in the 1990s, suspicious foes and new strains of mutant intolerance are on the rise in the wake of the X-Menâs absence." Season 1 raised the bar for Marvel animation in a huge way, delivering emotional storytelling, memorable action, and plenty of surprises that honored the original series while pushing it forward. Everything we've seen from Season 2 suggests that momentum isn't slowing down. The wait also isn't much longer. X-Men '97 Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on July 1, with the first three episodes launching together. https://news-area.com/2026/06/25/awesome-x-men-97-season-2-trailer-introduces-polaris-and-teases-apocalypses-rise/
