The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP. Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP. The people who need help are not the problem. It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

You know who the real freeloaders in this country are? Not people who rely on SNAP, but corporations whose business model depends on wages so low that taxpayers have to feed their workers.

For every fascist authoritarian, there was a Chamberlain who tried appeasement, or a Schumer who opted for stern letters over dogged resistance. Fascism thrives in the face of timid opposition. This is why voters are desperate for candidates who will truly challenge Trump and the oligarchs.
