Made myself sad this morning. If my PT doesn’t take, I will likely not be able to take long walks anymore. Coming to terms with this, I realized I will never be able to go to Disneyland again. This is especially sad as I haven’t been in about a decade, meaning I never got to see Galaxy’s Edge.

One of the hardest parts of what I do is that I can’t talk to anyone about it (until my therapist appointment). So while I desperately want someone in my life to ask “How was your day?” I know that I can never be honest with my answer.

My nieces and nephews are watching The Great Mouse Detective for the first time. It gets me thinking… Basil of Baker Street was so named in honor of Basil Rathbone, the most famous actor to depict Sherlock Holmes at the time of release. Were it made today, would he be Benedict of Baker Street?

When I was growing up, there was a show called Anne of Green Gables (and Anne of Avonlea) based on the books of the same name that my sisters ADORED but I was rather bored by (keep in mind I was VERY young). So what could get me to revisit the story as an adult? An anime adaptation, obviously!

As someone who was raised Catholic, the concept of hot cross buns always confused me. You’re meant to eat them on Good Friday. But that was one of the main days of fasting during Lent, so the idea that there was a confection for the occasion confused the hell out of me. Darn Protestants.

My niece gave me this balloon for Valentine’s Day and it’s still floating a month later! They’ve definitely improved the design of the mylar balloon since I was a kid.

My “favorite season” changes depending on where I live. In California it was Summer. In England it was Spring. In Arizona it was Winter. Here in Washington I love late-Winter to early Spring. The February-April time frame. Because only during this time of year do you get flowers AND snow.

Apparently I’m eating too many carbs at night and not enough in the morning. So my salmon patty gets cut in half. The other half to be eaten in the morning.
