My niece gave me this balloon for Valentine’s Day and it’s still floating a month later! They’ve definitely improved the design of the mylar balloon since I was a kid.

My “favorite season” changes depending on where I live. In California it was Summer. In England it was Spring. In Arizona it was Winter. Here in Washington I love late-Winter to early Spring. The February-April time frame. Because only during this time of year do you get flowers AND snow.

Yesterday we had three completely unrelated dogs come in the ER named “Huckleberry”, “Finn”, and “Sawyer”. This amused me greatly throughout my whole shift! Sadly, I waited all night for a “Tom” but he never showed.

Literally before the game was over: “Hi, I’m calling because my dog is having seizures from the stress of my neighbors shooting off fireworks…”

Selfishly I hope the Seahawks loose... I work today and tomorrow and I don't look forward to all the HBCs from all the fireworks if we win...

I love interpretations of Cinderella that have one of the step sisters as just as cruel as her mother but the other one much kinder (although usually not brave enough to stand up to her family). It’s an interesting take on nature vs nurture. Anyway, yes I am watching season 4 of Bridgerton.

So my sister’s fiancé’s son’s birthday is Sunday and as I attempt to sign his birthday card, I wonder at one point I start signing it as Auntie [Sweetie]. Like… Do I have to wait until the wedding? Should I tell the kids they can start addressing me differently now? What’s the etiquette here??

Coworker at the shelter gave me a dozen eggs from her chickens so salad has been upgraded to egg salad!… In a much more literal sense than usually meant by the phrase.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day and this year more than ever I suggest everyone learn about what lead up to the holocaust, the cruelty that resulted, and take a long hard look at yourself and your surroundings. The atrocities of those years should have taught us one thing: Never. Again.
