Sharing my #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday. The new stuff was disappointing, but rewatching Gilliam’s masterpiece on Criterion’s 4K was an absolute pleasure.

It sucks that studios view MN as a lesser market, and when they lack faith in a movie, they don't hold press screenings to save costs. But it also means I don't have to review titles like MANDALORIAN & GROGU or DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 that I'd probably dislike anyway. So thanks for sparing me, I guess.

Seven Samurai. It’s one of my favorite films by any filmmaker ever.

For those using the current trade-route blockade to defend The Phantom Menace, the present situation doesn't somehow correct that movie's issues (stilted writing, listless acting, ugly CGI, etc.). The problem with it was never the plot. It was the execution.
