Those who wage wars are those who are incapable of living in peace Peace and happiness require renewal, nourishment, energy and hence vision, shadow work, and love Creativity enables happiness, positivity, emotional intelligence aka maturity

Creativity helps with shadow work Having normalized weirdness helps accepting and revealing what you are hiding to yourself

" Look at what we really are " Holding a mirror up to society is in itself a creative act Because most of the stories we are told are propaganda Seeing reality induces change. The kind that makes us become a better version of ourselves. And that may be the most beautiful form of #creativity

The past is nothing to be glorified, it is full of errors on top of which some systems were built To imagine the present creatively, start by imagining a different past For instance one in which kings, or violence, never existed #creativity

Creativity owes nothing to the past The past was built by old versions of humanity and is neither good nore bad Valuing the past will weaken progress and evolution

Creations are creatures populating our world Creatures our #children will have to live with Learning #creativity means learning about the nature of the beasts we populate our societies with

Beware the desire to perform Often it is the legacy of immature caretakers Others performing in their name is the narcissists' magical solution to feeling weak Reality is ok, being weak is beautiful Be #creative instead of acting strong

Be creative Also think about how to not say what you want to say You can say " This is why I am happy " or " This is why I am not sad " They are two wildly different things #creativity

Getting better at creativity means a lot besides art It means getting better at imagining what could be happening in people's lives, and understanding their point of view #creativity

In a world in which creating digital images is as easy as defining a prompt, a part of the importance of how you do things disappears, and leaves more room to think about what to represent Creativity is the essence of art, and now it makes sense for everyone to learn it #creativity

Simple inversions are the key to balancing creation Imagine a ( caricatural) world where women wage wars, and men are stay-at-home dads How would the homes be decorated? What would the conflicts look like?

Creativity is about unlearning as much as it is about creating If for you bread is made with wheat flour you'll have to go back to the basics ( the recipe ) and replace that flour with rice flour for example Then find a way to make it work

Did yoga come before or after our ability to breathe? After you answer that difficult question you can deduct if yoga created our ability to breathe.. Now try this one : is all the good in us derived from spiritual practice? Does religion build the good in us or is it built *on* the good in us?

Build a personal space, your ability to have a personality depends on it

Not everyone has an inner dialogue and it's perfectly fine Dialogue with parts of yourself can be a correspondence Write a series of letters to parts of yourself and write their answers if that's your preference

It's easy to be creative. You simply have to be nice to all the parts of you and all the ideas that come visit Ask them to talk, and listen, then ask questions to understand better Never judge Enjoy

Sit at a restaurant, wait for the waiter to put plates in front of you. Taste every dish and finish the dishes you enjoyed until you are not hungry anymore So many of us live our emotional lives like that until we realize recognizing , building and expressing our choices is an essential skill

Creating is choosing life Which means feeling like expressing your choices is a smart and valid move Being creative starts with a connection to emotion Let an emotion ( anger, fear, joy, love desire ) express its version of reality and help it do it better " I want the body to dance " says joy

Gifting life is gifting loneliness

You prepare food for someone. You ask how they like it, they answer they have a problem with it. " But I made it to make you happy " is a weird answer " If you wish to tell me more I'll be happy to listen " is a much better way to get to please the person on future attempts Same with parts of you

Instead of thinking how good you need to be to be accepted, think of how bad you need to be to be accepted How gross do people want the thing they want to buy to be? People want greasy burgers, cheap cars, vulgar friends and fast fashion Good is good and bad is also good

One of the most important aspects in understanding creativity is to be the void that consciousness will naturally fill Creativity is as much doing as it is doing nothing Training to do a high quality nothing is key

A world that stays the same isn't a world, it is a picture devoid of life and time A person who keeps away from evolving is also very much devoid of life Creativity is the price to pay for being alive

People who want you separated from your support system and all for themselves just want to deal with a weaker version of you You could be tempted to isolate ideas but a healthy idea is one that is connected to its family : the opposite, the more radical or weaker version..

Defining something as yours originates in the desire for another not to enjoy that thing Obviously it is impossible to physically possess much, since you possess what you hold, and can only hold so much The concept of possession is inept Try to get rid of it and stop thinking that ideas are yours

The more we declare superficial , object driven, activities ( like fashion or painting ) to be the pinnacle of creativity, the more we impoverish them Creators are people who work the fundamental material first : themselves

Creativity is not about a subject ( yes it applies to you too ) being interesting, it is about embracing and exploring the reasons why they are not ( interesting )

A part of growing up is willingly losing your illusions so you can access a richer thinking Being creative means being at peace with the existence of all sorts of monsters

Good or bad, right or wrong.. Values get in the way of Creativity So get creative with your values to free yourself from outside influences For example the idea of being a good person while your lifestyle is sustained by having the rest of the world slave for you is utterly absurd

Changing point of view: in a situation, invert all genres: women become men and men become women ( yes, you are now from the opposite sex ) If you are a bit trad wait a bit before you start using a spectrum of genres

Get creative with yourself, your beliefs, your vision of yourself, your attitudes, your outfits Do that simply by changing them once or twice, for fun, the pleasure of doing so will soon replace apprehension That's when you step up the game From yourself it will permeate your whole world

Creativity is producing awe that grows in boredom The act that leads to creation is utterly boring and arduous Work the mud instead of running away from it and the lotus flower will grow

Creativity is recuperated by any powers that need to seduce ( political, religious, financial.. you name it ) If fascinating people are fascinated enough by me to put their fascinating talents to my service then I must be really worth following, right? Be creative enough to follow only yourself

Creativity is boosted by acceptance Accept every part of yourself, accept every thought Accept to be separated from the herd emotionally and intellectually Do it in a reserved, intimate and protected space inside of you Your secret garden

Creativity is about acceptance Acceptance of the weirdest parts of you, as well as acceptance that the Universe is chaotic in a good sense Put aside good and bad to tap into the reserve of " anything is possible" And please put your morals back on when you're done exploring

There's no wrong way to be creative If you're not being creative, you're just creating more of the same thing, you're reproducing As long as there is movement, change, there is no wrong path

Creativity consumes a lot of energy so finding shortcuts is how you start That big story you want to draw? Use stickman figures and symbols, if the story is good, it will be captivating Use symbols for the feelings you most use, that's how every language works

Journeys get creative the moment you resist the injunction to make them creative When making a proposal that deactivates the " Be creative! " double bind An injunction to follow a certain path opposes creativity " I'll be neither creative nor uncreative " is the answer fostering true creativity
