When Dan’s brother, Keith, was diagnosed with renal cell cancer, their family started raising money for Dana-Farber, hoping their efforts will improve outcomes for others so that families can get more time together. So far, they have raised more than $110,000 since 2024. Way to go, Team Skinny Pig!

A historic moment. Last week, we announced the largest single gift in our history through a transformational joint commitment from Josh and Anita Bekenstein and the Jonathan and Jeannie Lavine family.

Dana-Farber developed one of the first clinical cancer genetics and prevention programs in the world and remains one of the largest centers of its kind, providing expert, long-term, comprehensive care for cancer patients, survivors, and people seeking risk assessment and prevention care.

This week, we had the honor celebrating the largest single gift in our history: a transformative joint commitment from the Josh and Anita Bekenstein and Jonathan and Jeannie Lavine families to name and help build our future cancer hospital.

When Wolfie was 5 years old, he spent a year undergoing surgeries and chemotherapy for leukemia. Now a happy, healthy 8-year-old, he wants to be a Master LEGO Builder when he grows up. Thanks to the treatment he received at Dana-Farber, that dream is possible. We’re rooting for you, Wolfie!

This month, we recognize everyone affected by cervical cancer. 💙

“Your generosity has helped me overcome my diagnosis, and now, thanks to you, I am able to say that I am in remission!” – Taylor, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma just two weeks after turning 17 Let’s ring in the New Year with hope that more patients will say “I’m in remission” in 2026! 🎉

After two relapses, Tyler is now 6.5 years cancer-free! “I fought for my life in those hospital rooms, and the enemy kept returning. I am scarred, but I am stronger for it all. I realized I am stronger than I thought,” he says. Way to go, Tyler! 💪

After five months of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and complete lymph node removal, and 35 rounds of radiation, Usuoma, a mother of two young children, is now cancer-free! She shares, “If it wasn’t for Dana-Farber, I wouldn’t be here today. They saved my life.” ❤️

When Tyler relapsed for a third time, Dana-Farber encouraged a new clinical trial for CAR-T cell therapy. After his 30-day scan showed remission, Tyler had his doubts. But then scan after scan came out clean. He is now 6.5 years cancer-free! Let’s fuel the next clinical trial breakthrough.

Taylor was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma just two weeks after her 17th birthday. After 30 rounds of chemotherapy, she is now in remission! Today, she is enjoying her senior year of high school and looking forward to the future. Go, Taylor! 👏

Usuoma was just 27 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. A mother of two young children, she knew she wanted the best chance to see them grow up. “Dana-Farber was ready to fight with me. Now, I get to raise my sweet girls with my husband,” says Usuoma. Today, she is cancer-free! ❤️

Almost 10 years ago, Tyler, a father of two, was diagnosed with cancer. After three relapses, he has now been cancer-free for more than six years. “Going to @danafarber.bsky.social changed the course of my treatment, and I believe it saved my life,” says Tyler.

Two weeks after her 17th birthday, Taylor was diagnosed with cancer. “This experience has been hard for our family, but it has also brought us closer together,” she says.
