I recently read @tkingfisher.com 's Thorn Hedge, and it was my kind of story. Love a fairy tale that's got enough creepy bits to remind you not to mess with the fae, but it's not nightmare inducing. Do you all have any recs like this? Keep in mind that I'm a lightweight with scary stuff.

Today is laundry day and I've quoted this at least twice so far.

My wreath form has arrived, and idk why I trusted to my spatial understanding of numbers. It's no "18 inch henge" discrepancy, but it is smaller than expected. Why didn't I trace out a 12" circle for reference? I would have decided to go with the 16" form probably, but I'll make this work.

I wonder if my brain didn't want to watch KPDH in the summer with everyone else because it knew we'd need to watch it obsessively in the winter to keep our spirits up. I'm not an "everyone likes something so I will avoid it" kind of person, but I can't make myself watch something even if I want to.

I finally got my neuropsych testing report this morning! I got the preliminary one in July, so I've at least been existing with a clearer idea of my needs as a late-identified AuDHD-er. I don't like reading large documents on screens, so I'll print it at the office store and put it in The Binder.

While I'm waiting for my Christmas project yarn to arrive, I'm beginning my Turn All My Unwanted Stash Into Hats To Give Away project. First hat: wool ease thick and quick in "eggplant." How did I used to knit with bulky yarn all the time?! I have three skeins in 3 different colors to use up.

Struggling with a crappy combination of low executive functioning due to the monthly hormone crash and significant routine changes this week. I did manage to wash and put away dishes, so I'm calling that a huge win. Will I be able to fold and put away laundry today? We shall see.

I'm waiting for my Christmas Pudding Socks yarn to arrive. When I checked yesterday it was in the US, but on the opposite side from me. Remember when ordering something and having it shipped took four to six weeks? I'm so impatient now. I could work on some wreath decorations while I wait.

I love how much less stretchy linen stitch is. I wonder if it would be a good stitch for knitting a jacket. I think a linen stitch jacket in a lovely tweedy yarn would be nice to wear.

The star-nosed mole (Condylura cristata) is an evolutionary wonder with "stars for eyes". They're exceptional in so many ways: they're the fastest-eating mammals, they're just as comfortable in water as (under) the land, have exceptional nerve conduction & senses you don't have access to.

I bought a bottle of Miracle Molecule (hypochlorous acid) spray from Ulta, and it's working well so far. My skin is ridiculously sensitive, and everything makes it break out in a rash that starts on my cheeks and goes down my neck. But this has lessened the inflammation! I'm pleasantly surprised.
