in 2026 i think my goal is mostly just "survive so you can make the thing you want to make." and i hope i can do that... it will take time--probably a long time--but i still want to make the little world of project sacrament a tangible thing that people can experience one day.

this year’s last-minute cake… it’s a belgian chocolate cream cake!!! usually these holiday cakes are a bit on the lighter side but this one is quite rich!!

day 2: took several fancy baths. gained the power of hot stones at the spa. rode a train and saw the mountain. ate local noodles. chatted with some kindly mexican tourists over the local noodles. peaceful…

took a peaceful bath and had a warm cozy dinner at an onsen resort. at this rate i may never want to go back into the outside world ever again. i want to be an onsen creature forever, i think.

i was doing a very specific quest in ragnarok today and while i was working on it i was immediately struck by an idea that activated my brain and enhanced the plot of my episode 0 story like tenfold. i cannot believe i had not considered the option before.

there's a capcom exhibit and cafe being held in tokyo and ryan and i were losing our minds that the dmc dessert is, in fact, a berry delight. even though it's for dante and not vergil.

went back to see the elf since there's a new event that lets you instantly max out a new arcana class. i tried elemental knight this time... it's pretty fun! it's a spellsword class with decent dps output and a pretty fun little rotation of skills with fast cooldowns. here is elf's knight look.

something i've been doing to clear my head and keep myself from getting too overwhelmed is grinding for low drop-rate items in ragnarok online. it's so nice. i lose any desire to doomscroll. my supernovice instacasts all of her spells so it's easy to farm. i get to think about my ocs. peaceful

saronia...... it was one of the least populated 1.0 servers. i specifically wanted to pick a quiet server so my toaster hp laptop would not spontaneously combust in ul'dah (which was the most populated hub city at the time).

ok that's enough of that. back to the other mmorpg.

had to check on her house so i started playing with class-free glamours based on what i had in my glamour dresser... i am so glad some of my favorite heavensward/stormblood-era crafter and gatherer sets are going to be restriction free now.

this afternoon i got a very painful charley horse after trying to stretch my leg and i've been limping around the house this evening making "oough" sounds like i'm taking dot damage. i need to start my routine stretches again...... stretching is so important.......

elf update: i haven’t actually been playing elf much despite the big updates they’ve been doing but i DID have to log into the game for an hour every day for the past three months to get her this dark diviner outfit. i am questioning my sanity but it looks very cute dyed in her colors, at least.

i am once again Going Through It but in my spare time this week i did make two songs in garageband that i didn't hate... i'm still learning a lot about making music. but it's nice to listen to a song on repeat that i made and go "wow!!! this isn't terrible!!! it might actually be nice!!"

recently i rediscovered an otome game ost from 2010. i played the game when i was still studying japanese on my own, so i started listening to the ost today for some work tunes. but i have to stop for a moment because i need to mention that the tokyo yamanote boys ost goes far harder than it should.

dead laptop update: we pinpointed that the 3070 was fried but ryan managed to launch in safe mode and get all the important data and art and stuff. i am very glad we could salvage everything we needed!!!! i was so stressed about it…

stayed up too late doing a small proof of concept for portraits/expressions and implementing them... i think i'd prefer to do a few different poses rather than a standard one with different expressions, but it'd probably be feasible to do a few expressions per pose...

got inspired to play hitman again after wayne streamed his vr run so i started hitman 2. miami was far easier than i anticipated it being??? it looked really overwhelming at first but i am glad that was not the case. plus agent 47 got to do most of the mission in a flamingo suit.

i have enough veggies to make another batch of chicken soup so i went to another local store to get more noodles since i was already out on a few errands…and they have shell noodles!!! the ideal chicken soup noodle!!! for a decent price!!!!! i gotta go there more often…

tried making nova and elf in the new blue protocol. nova looks... peeled and sauceless but i'll probably play her if i have the motivation to play more. elf is also this. she can't be an elf here so what's the point!!!!
