Jonathan Kuminga has arrived in Kinshasa and is expected to join Congo’s national team as they prepare for AfroBasket this month. Originally absent due to his NBA contract negotiations, he will be a huge addition to a balanced DRC team that went 5-1 in qualifiers.

Ousmane N’Diaye (2004) was huge for Senegal in their undefeated window at #AfroBasket qualifiers. Amid a solid season at Baskonia, he showed his shooting touch, mobility and ability to attack close outs on the wing. He should be firmly back on NBA radars this cycle.

Mathias M’Madi (2005) showed his on-ball creativity and shotmaking, driving Madagascar to qualify for AfroBasket 2025. He put pressure on the rim and was a threat pulling up from mid and long range. He also made plays for others in transition and the PnR.

Though he was largely inefficient throughout ANGE Ulm, El Hadji Deme’s positive flashes were very encouraging. At 6’11”, he showed promise with fundamentals and movement while also giving hints of developing touch.

Recently selected to play at BWB Global, Endurance Aiyamenkhue showed improved strength, flexibility and approach at ANGE Ulm. The competition’s rebound leader played with a hunger that transformed his game completely and landed him on the all-tournament team. #BWBGlobal

Anthem Prep lands another U18 AfroBasket top performer, Isaac Ezekiel. The high-flying wing was Nigeria’s leading scorer thanks to potent drives, aggressive transition attacks and timely shot making. He averaged 17.5 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 2.5 APG + 4 stocks per game for the competition.

Amath Diop is a name to monitor for the next few years as a 6’7” 2010 guard. Dubai’s trigger-happy movement shooter was skilled on offense and had enough length on defense to be a threat across positions at Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm.

Théo Guedegbe was an intriguing playmaker for ASVEL, using his length and creativity in space to create advantages. He used his tools to affect every area of the box score but his primary and connective passing stood out. Turned in 23 assists to 10 turnovers over four NextGen EuroLeague games.

Adam Atamna turned in an all-time performance at Adidas NextGen EuroLeague with 43 PTS in his final game. He averaged 33 PPG on 63% 2FG, 49% 3FG, 93% FT. Production was great but the shooting efficiency at his age is uncommon. He didn’t score less than 29 in a game and landed in the all-star five.

Talented scoring guard Sekou Bagayoko🇲🇱 is joining Anthem Prep (UT) in the class of 2026. A strong shooter with good size and no conscience, Bagayoko made the all-tournament team and won gold at U18 AfroBasket.

The rate at which Daniel Osayi is improving at Valencia this season is worth monitoring. In Munich, he had a better understanding of where scoring opportunities come from by running the floor and making himself available for drop offs and lobs. Also showed solid interior passing and rim protection.

Intrigued by Dorian Rinaldo Komlan🇫🇷🇹🇬 who stood out for a balanced NGT Munich with his length, ball skills and fluidity. 6’9” and just turned 17, he averaged 10 PPG, 3 RPG in 16 MPG at ANGT and plays for Limoges Espoirs in France, averaging 9.3 PPG in 16.7 MPG there.

Théo Chaney came back from injury and played his first club game since breaking out in U18 AfroBasket this fall. Knocked off his rust and showed playmaking creativity and flashes of downhill craft. 20 PTS, 2 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK on 83% 2PT and 83% FT. No assists but had quite a few potential assists.

Isaiah Mbeng🇨🇲 is top 2 in assist rate (29.8%) and top 3 in offensive rating (118.2) among NCAA freshmen. Among that group, he’s also 2nd in eFG at 58.2%. The William & Mary PG has been a steady source of offense in a limited role.

Younes Boukichou🇲🇦 showed interesting flashes in limited minutes for Morocco in his senior national team debut. The 20-year old lead guard has a good feel for the game, making sound decisions out of the PnR. Reacts well based on 2nd defenders and uses his plus length to find passing angles.

This sequence is a snapshot of who 16 year old Lewis Uvwo🇳🇬 is as a player right now. Recovers from blown PnR coverage to swat a lay up at the rim before cutting nicely to clean up a teammate’s missed shot with a dunk.

Really impressed with Mouhamed Camara’s improved playmaking on both sides of the ball. He wreaked havoc defensively, instantly creating transition opportunities for NBA Academy Africa. Guarded 1-5, and logged three 5+ stocks games in one week at the Winter Showcase.

Abdullah Ahmed🇪🇬 is eligible for the NBA Draft and has been dominant defensively in the G League. He’s the league’s 2nd leading shot blocker at 3 BPG and a 13.9% block rate. Has great timing with a quick second jump and moves well on that side of the ball.

i do like that Miller is actively looking to dunk the ball. This + 3P% are contributing to a significant TS% spike (52% -> 62.3%) Miller dunks 23.9% of his rim attempts, which is 100th (!) percentile

Selton Miguel🇦🇴 has been an impactful transfer for Maryland, providing needed complementary shooting. He’s scored 24 PTS in two consecutive games going 10/15 from 3. For December, he’s averaging 17 PPG on 59% FG and 58% 3FG.

2022 Wizards draftee Yannick Nzosa🇨🇩 upped his production since returning from national team duty. This month, he’s averaging 11 PTS, 7 REB, 2.5 BLK on 68% FG in 20 MPG for an 11-1 Fuenlabrada club set on returning to the ACB. Production is starting to catch up to his 1st healthy stretch in a while

One of the knocks against Thierry Darlan as a prospect since joining the G League has been his shooting efficiency. In his first game at the G League Showcase, he went 4/4 from deep. All c&s corner shots which would be the type of looks he’d get at the next level.

Despite going winless on day one of #TorneigBasketLH Juom Maker Bol stood out showing his close and midrange shooting touch, versatility, and offensive rebounding prowess. As a young 16 year old he contained older guards and held his own on the block.
