Torridon School only had one student, so they closed it. It didn't have ideal topography for a playing field either.

'Steady' is back in the loch.

There are two young Pine Marten kits in the forest at the moment (class of 2026). They are as inquisitive as their mum. Needless to say, Bertie dog is furious about the situation. This is actually a photo of mum when she was their age. She is now twice the size but retains the same chest marking.

Above the crest of this hill lies the rarely visited (and very large) Loch Lundie. After heavy rain such as the overnight storm, it overflows, filling usually dry burns that flow down, eventually ending up in Loch Shieldaig. You can see some here. (Loch Dughaill in the foreground).

This is the first time you get a good view of the hill known as Liathach as you drive down Glen Torridon towards the sea. And what a view. BTW: It's one of the Torridon Hills, hence the description, but let's face it... it's a mountain.

At this time of year, looking directly north, the sunsets and sunrises kinda' merge into one. This at 04:00.

There's currently a Dutch Ketch parked at the bottom of my garden. I've a feeling they may be here to spend the evening in the hotel bar watching the Netherlands / Sweden game.

So we had Reform, then Restore, perhaps we'll next get Reflect, then Regret, then Remorse, then finally, Repent. We can only hope.
