Went to the forest at Kelso for a dog walk this morning, and to see the colours. It's the first sunny day in a while. This place never disappoints. Gold on steroids!

This deer was seriously unimpressed (and unperturbed) as we passed close by with Bert the dog yesterday.

Last night's heavy rain has led to dozens of these appearing down the length of Glen Shieldaig.

We have just one Norway Maple here in the forest. I've absolutely no idea how it got here. Anyway, I decided to photographically document the life of some its leaves from Spring to Fall. And fall they did.

A photo from yesterday. We refer to this as 'Toad Corner', as it's here that hundreds of toads cross the road to get to the loch in early spring. Unfortunately, many of them stop on the road to warm up, and get squashed. So we're out v. early to hurry them up. Always looks pretty here in Autumn.

My photo of the stag on the hill that I posted earlier reminded me of a photo that I took many years back. Even then someone suggested that I had 'photoshopped' him in. I didn't of course, but A.I. will mean everything you look at from now should be viewed with suspicion. Mine will always be real.

This isn't a photo of my dog. Well, it is, but it's really a photo of the stag on the hill behind who was keeping a wary eye on him. He needn't have worried, Bertie is a complete coward, and is more interested in sniffing every clump of grass he can find, and was completely unaware of the deer.
