Every now and then I run into one of those and I just want to jostle people around.

THEN I'll decide whether I like it or not.

You need to present me with your content.

You don't need to cajole or croon to me.

You don't need to whine to me.

You don't need to trick me.

Either I like your content on the virtue of your content based on the content and your delivery of it alone, or I'm not. It's that simple.

The second I catch wind of that, I dislike you instantly.

Except, instead of hitting me with content first, and having the confidence to do that, you decided to, for lack of a better term, play dirty.

Sure, at one time or other, some of the times I let you through, I would, have liked your content.

I'm not smart enough to have any other word for it but I do not appreciate being baited like this.

I'll skip away from your content faster than I'll skip away from stuff I actually don't like.

Please bugger off.

If you think I'm one of the 3% "special people" that stuck around to help a small creator and that you would statistically like the content any way because that's what the algorithm said than I just have only a couple words for you...

So. Is it a 'mario movie' or a 'super smash brothers' movie now? Or is it a lead up to a super smash brothers movie?

Anyway that's what I think at least.

They're gonna look around the shelves and go oh that's a piece I need but oh god.

I'm also thinking, as I wander around wally world looking at the lego bits and going, how on earth are people supposed to get all those tiles? After they look at this thing and go huh, I wanna try that. They aren't gonna go to the internet first.

So. That's what I THINK I've figured out so far.

So the three parts of a modular floor is first, space it takes up, under structure for support, top layer of tiles and modified tiles for detail. The under structure I get cause someone probably said something.

I guess I'm trying to get the most value that I've decided to get out of what I got from the lego store. I think.

Other companies are digging into lego on that regard. I mean, that's one regard, pricing is another gee howdy.

A gripe I have is yeah it's cool you can get into them now but after you close them up? Still dark as heck inside and lego does not have a great lighting solution.

So if you want to build in the new style, you have to know or try to know the styles rules.

They are designed to be pull apart dig into with minimal fuss and show off the build and allow for play. However, that takes away the simplicity of the earlier style.

With the modular style, all that is thrown out the window.

With regular Lego City rules, you want to make a two story building? Slap down some walls, a door, some stairs, plates on the walls, a hole for the stairs, some walls on top of that, a plate on for the roof, and yer done.

The overall floor, is at least in 3 parts.

The staircase opening, though, to me, feels a little small still. From just what I've seen.

I think I found it.

What I was looking for was kind of a "generic" solution.

I grabbed some free instructions the other day and was able to look at them. Yes, lego has posted pdf instructions. Somewhere.

Cause, I knew I was missing something in my own stuff, I just didn't know what.

I think.

It's not just 'find flooring parts and stairs' it's 'well, this might work for the structure overall'.

Or at least, the plating structure for the building floors.

So. I THINK I'm slowly starting to comprehend how part of the lego modular system works.

Two more months til halloween what happened to the first quarter grumble grumble.

I don't know why those two feel different, yet somehow, they do.

What if, hear me out. what if, star wars, in one film or other, when an antagonist or federalist reaches for some sort of power cell or fuel cell, stay with me. It's color scheme? JUST so happens to be red, white, and green. Just as a cheeky lego shout out.

I could add stuff. But I don't want it to feel like necessary evil filler. I want the intro to be just as meaningful as every other part of the game.
