Oscar qualifies P8 after a rough weekend of practice. He'll start P7, due to Carlos ahead of him having a 5 place grid penalty.

And that's a wrap on our first day of practice! Some good clean runs from everyone, and Oscar learned maybe a bit more than he'd have liked about the limits of his grip 😅 Better in practice than in the race though! See you tomorrow for the last practice session and of course Qualifying!

A lovely first session of practice! All nine of the session's new drivers did a splendid job keeping all their borrowed cars safe and deserve some appreciation. Oscar finished with the 4th fastest time, but plenty of good running to work with!

Every team save Sauber is fielding a rookie/dev driver for this FP1. Oscar is driving alongside Pato for this hour!

Oscar has arrived for Round 19 at CoTA!

Oscar is lining up 6th for COTA!

Oscar through to Q3 in 8th. Not looking fully comfortable with the car right now, but he's going to give it his best for Q3 now.

Oscar makes it through to Q2 in 12th. Set a lap, and didn't improve after that. Hopefully the new suspension on the car dials in for the rest of quali!

Red Flag for Isack hitting the barriers near turn 6. He's okay, but clearly very frustrated. Going to take a bit for the barriers to be declared up to code again, but there's still nearly 15 minutes left on the clock for Q1.

McLaren is still working and checking on Oscar's car after the damage from the Sprint, but Oscar will be joining Quali!

Trun 1 in the sprint certainly didnt go to plan. Oscar is out after contact with both Nico H. and Lando.
