Some people just don’t understand art as visual design, only literal translation. To them, game art is just shadows and reflections. Valve games were great blends of cutting edge tech in service of visual design. It’s needed to create new worlds. RTX is cutting edge tech in service of mimicry.

Playing RoboCop tonight. I know there is a sprint button but I won’t use it because RoboCop doesn’t sprint. The designers know that no one has any attention span in 2023 so there is a sprint button, but its essentially a “fast forward” for content. No crouch button, and that is in character!

After seeing a clip of Tarantino describing Sergio Leone’s “Man With No Name” westerns as the only trilogy that works, I decided to finally watch them. Not really a western enthusiast, but worth it for the unmistakable style, and its true each film gets better- even without narrative continuity.
