Brilliant 🤩 I have a teen who refuses to engage with the idea of ‘clothes that fit and are warm’ He’s getting one of these for Christmas & I’m going to be his favourite parent. Massive win.

In balance to failing gcse history (I kept chatting to my friend about politics instead of learning any facts) I have an A in Roman Civilisation gcse. It was a fabulous class with an amazing teacher & I loved every minute of it- great teaching & stories = great outcomes in exams.

New book this week : Stuffed by Pen Vogler I love reading social history, facts & stories about our commonality via food or art or dance or clothes. One of my many failed exams is gcse history…because it was facts & wars & just didn’t speak to me.

I’ve had a tricky week, growth & progress and fun alongside some struggles. This dance brings all the joy & dopamine- reminder that things do work out & most of us thrive, most of the time. Snow & wooly jumpers just add to the joy

These are some beauties I saved from landfill. They’re from Arthur Rank hospice shop and replace the antique Waterford glasses which have fallen, been knocked over or chipped since they came into my keeping. I insisted that my other half pretend to be Noel Coward while pouring bubbles.

Interesting to find the charity sector on Bluesky. I work for a small charity (a brilliant one) & we have about 1k followers on X. Like lots of charities we’ve thought about moving. How active is the charity sector here & would you recommend switching? Thank you

X has been so foul, for so long that I’ve stopped posting & connecting. I’d forgotten that text based social can just be cheerful & fun. So all I want to share today, is how much I’m enjoying The Mirror & the light and that Trust by Hernan Diaz is one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Well this is a much nicer place to be than X. Haven’t quite found my way round but I’ve spotted some friendly faces / people I follow.
