This is a big reason why S3 is the worst in the series imo. As someone who just comes back to the game whenever a patch comes out, the lack of X rank (or a mode with matchmaking) usually just causes me to not play the game rather than wasting a few hours in anarchy just to temporarily get X back.

Won another Premier Challenge this last weekend. I brought Decidueye, but he didn't end up coming to any battles because he was busy buying snacks.

My one regret as a Splatoon TO was not banning annoying people from playing in Bad Ideas Only.

The move's called Triple Arrows because you'll only get to land it 3 times per tournament (15 sets, and Decidueye came to 6 games. Fun team)

I haven't played Splatoon in about 3 months, but I forgot about the cool feature where the game just takes X Rank away from you every now and then. I think keeping the former #1 western aerospray out of "competitive" lobbies is a good thing to do.
