There’s one form of DEI for which maga cheers: the promotion of incompetent, unqualified white men. Bonus points if they are credibly accused of sexual assault. (But at what point are there so many of them that they no longer qualify as “diverse” and are now merely the norm?)

Here’s to a year that’s not as bad as we fear. Hoping for good things to happen, but also for the power and courage to resist/defy/cope with anything that’s not good. (But right now I’m hoping that the neighborhood fireworks stop—my dog is having a panic attack.)
