How convenient that the day a controversial solar ordinance is to be voted on, the meeting gets moved from its normal 10am to 2pm. It's almost like they don't want the public to be able to attend...

In light of the news that a PAC from Texas is mysteriously sending out mailers in support of Julie Roush for Commissioner, let me be clear: I don't want out-of-state actors influencing our local elections and I certainly wouldn't be out there telling people that I'm grateful they decided to do so.

TEAS Update: Last week, I reported that I met with Commissioner Murtaugh on TEAS- its response times and opaque organizational structure. This morning I followed up with the Commissioners to officially request several things for improving transparency. Full update in the link.

It's the last week! I'll be canvassing all day for the next several days to do a final push before May 5! Let's hope the weather holds!

It has come to my attention that one of my opponents is telling voters they should vote for my opponent and they will hire me to fix the technology pieces that need fixed. I thought I'd address that today, as this thinking is fundamentally flawed. www.votejustinkendall.com/news/structu...

Had constructive chat with Commissioner Murtaugh on EMS Thurs. Two takeaways were: 1. May 1st, TEAS is planning to start running an additional ambulance daily. 2. TEAS has recently decided to change pay structures to raise pay. If you know someone that can help me corroborate or dispute, msg me!

It's a bit of a wet day out here today, but I'm still at it!

Laura and I are out supporting The Arts Federation, where we both serve on the board, at TAP for TAF! Their work in our county is vital for making sure students have arts programming and musical instruments that otherwise may not be able to experience it and we're so glad to help support it!

Just got done at the Indivisible Commissioner Town Hall. Thanks to everyone out there that came out and listened to us talk about issues facing the county and how we each plan to address them. The rest of the week you'll find me out canvassing when the rain doesn't get in the way!

It's a sunny one out there today! I'm out canvassing again! Should be getting to over 100 doors today, and will be doing the same for the next several days!

As folks start heading out to vote today, I want to thank everyone for getting involved in the process and taking a bit of time to voice your opinions at the polls. Costs continue to rise faster than wages, and if you'll trust me, I'll work tirelessly to take as much pressure off of you as I can.

For gov to work, you need staff that are capable and paid enough that they can afford to live and someday retire. Our county has not kept up with inflation for most of the past 10 years, and staff were already underpaid before that. As Commissioner, I will advocate for the correction of this.

Over the last 10 years, housing has gotten worse and worse in our county. Data shows that both renters and homeowners are spending a larger and larger share of their household incomes on housing. We're not building enough homes to keep up with all of the economic development.

Today I gave public comment at the Commissioners meeting on the state of EMS response and call on the Commissioners to provide information to the public. I also put in a public records request for the yearly operational audit. See the link to the video in the comments. You'll see me at 19:42.

As a small biz owner, I understand the importance of supporting local over large, out of state behemoths. Our local biz are our neighbors and make our community vibrant and unique $ spent locally circulates to other locals, keeping more $ here and generating more taxes to fund public services.

It might be raining outside, but I'm still hard at work! Just dropped off quite a few yard signs, and will be out canvassing in West Lafayette shortly!

It's the first Friday of the month, and that means that it's gallery opening night at The Arts Federation, where I serve on the board. The arts are vital for making a community a place where people want to live, not just work. If elected, I would be a strong advocate for the arts in our county.

Talking again about EMS- Standard is to arrive on scene within 8 mins, 90% of the time. TEAS only makes it about 63% of the time. It's time we demand to see the details of the operations audits, what is currently being done to improve response times, and why we should continue to tolerate this.

Just read "There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America". Heartbreaking to hear more evidence of how broken our housing system and social safety net is. I've seen firsthand how easy it is to fall through the cracks here in Tipp. If you trust me May 5, I'll do everything I can to help.

Canvassing efforts are kicking off. Printed lit and signs cost money to be able to put out there. The whole county votes on this office, so I need to get the message out to the whole county. I need to order ~$800 of literature and ~$1500 in yard signs this week. Can I count on you? Anything helps!

Did you know Tippecanoe county spends tax dollars on two different GIS, the system for creating digital maps? 4 yrs ago, current commissioner said he would get to the bottom of consolidating. County paid lots more $$ to code features to consolidate and 4 years later still paying for 2 systems.
