To my fellow Americans who are still hanging onto the “this isn’t who we are” argument… look at who represents ALL of us. This is who ALL of us are in the international eye. You don’t have to be proud of it, but it’s time to accept it. This is what America is now.

Why yes. I did spend the evening baking cupcakes for my big dogs’ 7th birthday & little dogs’ 1st gotcha day tomorrow.

The biopsy results are in & Palma had a benign tumor/lesion below her nose. She is in the clear! I got her chicken nuggets to make up for the “horrific” experience of having to have a single stitch removed from the site. She says thank you to everyone who wished her well.

I wish I could sleep as soundly as this dog. (She’s also sawing some logs in her sleep. Loudly.)

When you live near a military base & it’s close to Christmas, you might see Santa fly by in a helicopter. (Sadly, the open door was on the other side, so you can’t actually see him.)

Was given a new toy for the dogs. It’s a treat dispenser. They push the lever & a few treats drop out. I’ve shown them how to use it several times, but none have figured it out yet. They’re hoping if they stare at it long enough, it’ll just… work.

If you live in a community with a volunteer run HOA & get notices from the HOA to comply with things in your DCCR, chances are you’re getting the letter because 1 of your neighbors has complained about another neighbor & we get bitched at by the offending neighbor to “clean up the neighborhood”. 😑

My dogs wake me up stupid early for breakfast. I’ll usually turn the TV on for background noise, but it’s mostly paid programming. I’ve gotten weirdly into the “Coin Shopping Network.” It’s my “favorite” paid program because it’s actually kind of interesting to see all the different coins. #weirdo

One year with these ding dongs. They have no sense of personal space, continually lick my eyes & ears (🤢), & use my living room as their own personal racetrack. But I love them to bits. Happy Gotcha Day, Baby Girl & Didy.

Welp, this big girl may have the “c” word. Still need to do some tests, but it looks like she has a mast cell tumor under her nose. Thank goodness for pet insurance. She’s healthy otherwise & I jumped on it quickly, so prognosis is good if it is a mast cell tumor.

This Veteran’s Day is a bit of a weird one for me. It’s hard to reconcile the current state of the country with my military service. I fought for the rights of everyone. Not just a few. The things the incoming administration wish to implement are contrary to my service. So… Happy Veteran’s Day
