For the #airsoft beta event I took some time to create a new base map using a D&D map drawing tool. It gives it a nice pencil-drawn look. The icons are points of interest, placed based on GPS points. #dev

An instanced mission is one that can be assigned to multiple players, independently, to be completed in an uncontested manner. For example, a player can pick up a solo mission to find some McGuffin. They'll earn points for themselves, squad & team if they complete it in time. #airsoft #LARP

It was very hot on site today; luckily the leafy trees provided some shade. WiFi AP installed and there's full coverage apart from a small, overgrown corner that nobody uses. We're looking at end of June / beginning of July for the beta event. #airsoft #LARP #photography #airsoftuk #airsoftwales

Working on adding new mission types to the #airsoft #LARP app. Capture a location held by another team, hold locations to earn points the longer they're held, conquest with multiple zones, simple fetch & find etc. Here's a snapshot of the mission creation screen.

Tonight I'm busy load testing the #airsof #LARP app. The server is handling 35k requests per minute without breaking a sweat. That would support an event with 3000 attendees! Although I'm not aware of any site with the WiFi network infrastructure that could cope. Players would need 4G+ coverage.

The fun challenge of #airsoftphotography is making people look more badass and less dorky. I aim to make it look cool; regardless of gear or skill. We need to make #airsoft appealing and inclusive to as many people as possible if we want the sport to thrive and the fun survive.
