4 days later. I am exhausted, mentally and physically. But life goes on.

In 1980, finding myself at a loose end in London, I wandered down to the Lyceum and bought a ticket on the door for Joy Division, supported by Killing Joke. It didn't even feel unusual.

Only saw the first 10 minutes of the film before receiving a phone call from Mum telling me “not to worry, but your Dad’s breathing is really bad”. 12 hours later, he’s in the Bristol Royal Infirmary (again) and I’m emotionally drained.

Early morning cinema trip to see Saipan. Steve Coogan playing Mick McCarthy!

Hard fought win for #bristolcity today against a well organised and dogged Sheffield Wednesday side. Great support from the Wednesday fans, to be fair. Not sure what’s happening with Barry Bannan but that seems likely to be his last game for Wednesday, judging by how emotional he was at the end.

Really miss Mark E Smith. A great man, sadly missed.

Tough week to be a #BristolCity supporter. Two very poor performances on the pitch, plus several key players leaving the club with no obvious replacements coming in. Sam Morsy, a new signing, seems to be acting against the club’s best interests. I think they should consider cancelling his contract.
