The first couple months of the year have been a little quiet for music but things are starting to pick up and take shape and I'm stoked. The Menzingers' new single that dropped this week has been lodged in my head for days straight, and Beartooth just dropped a banger. Hope we get albums from both!

After tonight's episode of The Pitt, HBO Max played a little behind-the-scenes thing about keeping continuity and moving the cameras and actors through their ER set, and having to keep track of all of that would break my brain. Absurdly impressive. This show is so fucking good.

That's Resident Evil Village done, and after a month non-stop, my series replay has been completed!! This was such a fun ride to go through all these games again, Resident Evil as a series means a lot to me and I'm just over the moon excited to go on a new journey tomorrow with Requiem.

So, Yellowjackets continues to be absolutely wild. Have two episodes left in season one and I have no idea where it's gonna go.

I haven't looked too far into the reviews but we're two days out from Resident Evil Requiem and the review embargo lifted this morning and it's looking to be one of the best-reviewed games in the series and ahhhhhhh!!! These two days are gonna feel like forever.

The Pitt continues to be one of the best shows you'll ever watch. It deals with a lot of darkness and trauma and deeply fucked up things about this country's healthcare system yet it's also a very comforting watch. You get so invested and locked in and I just love it dearly. Great episode tonight.

The more I think about Resident Evil Requiem, the more I think it has the potential to be the best game in the series. Something about the way Capcom has shown off and talked about this game almost gives it a feel like "Yeah, we nailed this shit" and that confidence just really excites me.

I've been listening to a lot of bands I discovered 10+ years ago lately (mainly The Menzingers, such a criminally underrated band) and it's really got me mourning Transit today. Listen & Forgive is an all-timer album in the early 2010s pop-punk/emo scene and that band deserved way more love ❤️

Tried a couple rounds of Battlefield 6 on the new map that dropped today and was very quickly reminded why I don't play Battlefield multiplayer much unless I'm in a squad with people I know. Just getting wrecked from across the map and nobody ever wants to revive despite choosing the medic class 😤

The opening section of Resident Evil Village is still as intense as ever. Very excited to be on this journey again. Also, I played around with the third-person option they patched into the main game alongside the DLC, and it's not good. I'm glad Capcom accounted for both perspectives in Requiem.

I guess NBC or whoever didn't wanna pay for an intermission show between periods for a lot of the women's hockey games because aside from the ads, the intermission is just a single static camera shot of the ice rink with nothing but the music playing over the arena's PA system. It's so weird???

Resident Evil 7 replay is done!! While I do think some parts of the back half drag on longer than they need to, it's still ultimately one of my favorites in the series, and that opening section especially is still genuinely terrifying. Next up, the final game in my replay marathon.
