🧵This past weekend I tabled at @emeraldcitycon.bsky.social, and there were a lot of people asking for Meow the Infinite: Book 3. I haven't posted much about it, so here is some information for everyone waiting for the final book!

I do one speaking engagement every year. For 2025, I will be traveling to Sweden for the inaugural Better Software Conference. This is the first time I'll be speaking in Europe, and I look forward to saying hello to folks whom I've so far only ever met on-line.

Testing Bluesky again - still underwhelming. The notifications tab does not work reliably. I click on it, and most of the notifications are missing. I have to expand and contract the top "collapse" list, and then all of a sudden, the replies (which are not part of that list!) magically appear.

One of the most important improvements to Twitter/X for me was the removal of the length limit, so you could convey more complicated information when necessary. Having just arrived here, I am disappointed to see that BlueSky is capped to 300 characters :(
