I was board today. Getting ready for the major news tomorrow. So what did I do? I wrote my own CD Player in Zig. I just want a basic CD player without ads or slow interface. I had to play one of my Fav CDs from Eve6. I don't know if I will release this as it's just a real real simple CD player.

Man I am so so so excited about this Friday. I have so much to say. Here is a photos of the chest first being made. I made this like a real chest. There are "wood planks" and each piece is made. This isn't just a printed chest it was put together piece by piece.

I’m putting together some ideas and creating a webpage and GitHub for OPMF (Open Physical Media Format). It might not take off, but I’m going to give it my best shot anyway. I’m a big fan of physical media, and we really need an open and royalty-free new format.

I'm not giving up on physical media. I think we can agree there won't be a next blu-ray. I feel the only way is to make our own. I would love to start an open source alternative. Would need to find experts in chip design, firmware engineers, material scientist etc. IDK I feel this is a worthy goal.

So the project I got hired for I am making a chest box for the collectors edition. I am not just printing the box. I am making the box piece by piece constructed like a real wooden chest. I am making wood and metal pieces that never use the same texture. It's make of chipboard but its solid AF

Building a chest-style box and needed the lid to curve, so I had to do some math to bend 2 mm chipboard correctly. N = (R × 2 × asin(c / (2R))) / d Result: 110 cuts at 1/8″ spacing for the lid. Didn’t expect trig while making a box

I want your opinions. What do you guys think? Pressed discs are popular among physical enthusiasts, what if the burned media were archival-grade? Archival-grade discs are more durable and have a longer lifespan compared to pressed discs. Would you be ok with this as long as the top looks pressed?

I had to use Adobe Acrobat for one document I had to get out. I signed up for the free trial and canceled right after I was done. They didn't cancel and tried to charge me. F you adobe I used a virtual credit card that I would delete. I know you would try to screw me over. Seems they never chance.

I thought about what I am going to make for the Chrono Trigger PC Big Box. It will be big 16"x16"x5" It will hold the PC Game on an Optical Disk, USB, Soundtrack CDs and for the reason it's huge It will include the vinyl soundtracks. I will include so many extras too. It's going to be huge.

I am making a PC Big Box template maker. This will make templates for box sizes you input as well as cd/dvd/blu ray covers. Even the custom stuff I made for example the CD Folders. I will release this on GitHub when it's polished enough. CD Folder is what I did for FF Pixel Remastered soundtracks.

All my tools/software I write are for the big 3 OSs Linux/macOS and Windows. For Linux I use AppImages. I don't have time to make and test every distro. Just nice to have one package that will work with pretty much every Linux distro out there. Makes life easy.

Funny how the Key Card was made so Indies could use them. But now its only greedy companies using key cards and Indies giving us the full game. I will pick this up for two reasons 1. It's a fun game and 2. It's not a key card

You should have an upgrade path. Charging full price for QOL improvements and some DLC is just insane. This is from someone who loves the Ys Series and owns every game.

Grim Fandango Remastered is another project I want to redo. This was the 2nd Physical edition I made. Now w/ 2yrs experience I can make it better. The slip cover for the case still holds up I really love how it turned out. @timoflegend.bsky.social and @doublefine.com did an amazing job on this game.

Man I really hated the Original N64 Controller. In my opinion the worst controller design ever. the 8BitDo N64 controller fixes everything wrong with the original controller.
